On Wednesday, we celebrated Earth Day in school. Earth Day is celebrated on the 22nd April every year, around the world. Pupils in Year 5 & 6 learned facts about Earth Day and discussed the importance of it. They learned new ways in which we can help protect our Earth and thought of some great things themselves that we can all do to make a difference. We linked this to our Catholic Social Teaching elements with a focus being on Stewardship, and how we are all called to be guardian’s of God’s creation. The children created their own poster to advertise Earth Day and they were all fantastic.
