Year 5 have been reading Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson in English. Today, we focused on the character of Ben Gunn. Through a ‘role on the wall’ activity, the children worked in groups to decide what they already knew about Ben Gunn through evidence from the book, and wrote this inside of the body. They then thought about what they might know, using their inference skills, and wrote this on the outside of the body. The children worked wonderfully in groups!
