Year 1 have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the traditional tale The Frog Prince in their English lessons. Last week, the children demonstrated their understanding of the story by sequencing pictures and discussing the key events at the beginning, middle and end of the tale. This helped them to develop their storytelling skills and deepen their understanding of story structure.

To finish the unit this week, the children brought the story to life through exciting role-play activities. They enthusiastically acted out different parts of the story, taking on the roles of the characters and using expressive voices and actions. The role play helped the children build confidence, develop their speaking and listening skills, and gain a richer understanding of the characters and events in the story.
