The children across school marked the start of Lent with a special Ash Wednesday celebration of the word. The children heard about the journey of Jesus to Calvary across the 40 days leading up to his death on the cross on Good Friday and his Resurrection on Easter Sunday. The children received ashes on their forehead to show the symbol of their belief in Jesus at this Holy time. The children then completed their own Lent promises for our very own Lent tree in school. There will be weekly Lent celebrations of the word lead by each class starting Friday 14th March.
