In Year 1, we have been working on the story ‘Gustavo the Shy Ghost.’ Gustavo is so shy that he finds it very hard to make friends so he decides to invite the other monsters in town to his violin concert on Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead). Today, we learned all about the Day of the Dead and why it is such an important cultural celebration in Mexico and other South American countries. We filled out a short fact-file about Día de los Muertos and coloured in our own sugar skulls.
