We were delighted to welcome our local librarians into Year 1 this week. The children enjoyed listening to the story The Girl at the Front of the Class, which encouraged thoughtful discussion about kindness, inclusion and understanding others. Following the story, the children took part in a lovely activity where they explored what makes them happy and how they can help others feel happy too. There was lots of fantastic discussion, and the children shared some thoughtful and caring ideas. It was a wonderful session that inspired both reading for pleasure and meaningful conversations.
