Year 4 have recently spent some time learning British Sign Language, supported by our school counsellors. During these sessions, the children learnt how to spell their names using the BSL alphabet and practised asking others what their name is. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they developed new ways to communicate. The children also took part in a Just Dance activity without any sound. This gave them a valuable insight into how it might feel to experience the world differently. Afterwards, they discussed how it made them feel.
