Year 5 got into 4 groups this week to plan 4 different Celebrations of the Word. We picked four themes: learning, joy, peace, and equality. In their groups, they decided how the class would gather for the worship, as well as choosing scripture, a response, and a ‘going forth’ mission for the class, making sure everything fit their group’s theme. Over the coming weeks, these four groups will lead the rest of the class in the Celebration of the Word on this topic. Year 5 are very excited to show more independence and leadership in worship this year.
