Year 5 have started their ‘Earth and Space’ topic in science, and started by looking at our Solar System’s eight planets. We learned the order of the planets, and how far away they are from each other.

We learned that the four terrestrial planets (closest to the sun) are quite close together, and the 4 gas giant planets (furthest away from the sun) are much further apart! We used metre sticks to measure and demonstrate this outside.
