Year 6 chose to relate this week’s Prayer and Liturgy around the poor and vulnerable. They linked this to the Catholic Social Teaching strand that focuses on the preferential option for the poor. Together, they made their own class prayer for the poor and as part of their going forth they wanted to think of how they can individually help the poor over the coming weeks, they discussed: food banks, donating to charity and giving any loose change they might have to the homeless.
