On Tuesday afternoon, Year 6 and Reception spent their ‘buddy time’ looking at Human Dignity and what it means to us. This is just one area of our Catholic Social Teaching focus which we look at in school. The children worked together to discuss what human dignity means and what rights we have as humans in our world. The children were reminded that we are all beautifully made in the image and likeness of God and we all have the right to be treated equally and to be loved. Together, the children made their own Human Dignity Tree which includes their names and all of the rights they are entitled to. The children used the tree as part of their response when planning their class collective worship and it was so special to be able to do this together.
